In planning we discussed two main production comapny ideas:

Unhappy Life Pictures and Edelwiess Productions.

 

Unhappy Life Pictures

This name was created to center around the genre of films the production company would be poducing. This name also fits for the producer of our media product as it centers around a main protagonist leading an unhappy life.

 

Edelwiess Productions

This shares its name with a white mountain flower used as a symbol of rebellion during the Nazi Rule in Germany and symbolises the company rebelling fromn society's forms and conventions, showing that we want to make new and original products.The name also translates as "noble white" giving a contrast beteen the white innocence of the flower and the dark twisted themes of the films.

 

In the end we chose Unhappy Life Pictures as we felt it was more simple and memorable and suited our genre more and started creating a fairly basic but memorable logo. The contrast between the colours makes a vivid and simple logo that stands out and we discussed adding a form of transition where the word unhappy appears afterwards in homage to the plot twists that would feature in the production companies films.
